ISO/TS14067 and PAS2050 are two widely used standards for carbon footprint accounting and certification. The international standard ISO/TS14067 was officially released in May 2013 after two drafts were solicited in 2009 and 2010. The PAS2050 specification, developed by the UK government in collaboration with the Carbon Trust, was published in 2008 and revised in 2011. The continuous release of the two standards provides a unified standard for the business community to evaluate the carbon emissions of products, and is an effective tool to promote the evaluation of green goods or services.
