2. Check whether there is this order product in your GRS certificate to ensure that the product is in the certificate. Products can be updated in time according to the order situation.

3. For orders with outsourced processing, check whether subcontractors need to be added or updated to ensure that processing activities meet the actual conditions of certification.

After delivery of supplier's raw materials:

1. Check whether the contract, invoice and delivery note meet the requirements of the GRS standard.

2. Require suppliers to apply for TC work "immediately". There can be time requirements, such as 7 working days must be opened, do not open TC after the delivery of raw materials.

After delivery to the customer:

1. Check whether the contract, invoice and delivery note meet the requirements of the GRS standard.

2, confirm to the customer whether it is necessary to issue TC immediately, if not, inform the customer of the time of TC application, so as to avoid late opening of TC.

TC certificate issuing time node:

1, product delivery within 90 days, be sure to open the TC.

2, if more than 90 days after delivery, but not more than 180 days, need to pass the certification body assessment to open TC.

3, After the TC v3.1 update on November 15, 2023, products whose delivery time exceeds 180 days can also open TC if they meet any of the following conditions, including:

a. The Textile Exchange has approved exemptions or exceptions to the TC schedule.

b. A complete and valid application is received within 60 days of the issuance of the input TC, and the input TC is issued within the specified time.

c. All products previously included in the electronic transaction, the electronic transaction has been invalid, allowed to issue TC.

d. If the products on the TC are limited to the product categories PC0032(top) and PC0034(undyed fibers), and the raw materials claimed by: RM0003(organic alpaca wool), RM0007(Responsible alpaca wool), RM0060(organic mohair), RM0064(Responsible mohair), RM0079(organic wool), RM0083(responsible wool).

e. Within 365 days of the earliest date of shipment, if the certification body is able to certify the transport document directly to a third party transport provider (such as a common carrier or shipping line) or a government authority.

f. Within 365 days of the earliest shipping date, if all products on the TC are final products.

Renewal of GRS certification:

1. It is recommended to arrange renewal in advance and make preparations. In addition, the certificate is issued according to the expiration date of the old certificate, and does not waste time and money.

2, if the certificate expires because the renewal is not timely, the new certificate has not come down, then the "old certificate expiration date" to the "new certificate issuance date" belongs to the "gap period", which can not be shipped to the customer, because the products shipped during the gap period can not apply for TC.

3, if the certificate is indeed expired due to improper operation, the following conditions can also be issued TC: First, the certificate can not be extended after the expiration, to ensure that there are products and subcontractors to open TC in the certificate. Under this condition, the certification authority can still provide the service of issuing TC within 30 days after the certificate expires. Within 31-90 days of the expiration of the certificate, the certification body must evaluate whether the TC can be issued; The TC cannot be issued 90 days after the certificate expires.

Therefore, we suggest that you arrange for renewal two or three months in advance to avoid unnecessary trouble.
