SLCP Appendix process suspension, what is the impact on the factory?

Author:Presenture Sourcing Management(Dongguan)Co.,Ltd. Date:2023-12-19 Reading:

The SLCP Addenda, full name Report Error Addenda, clarified its rules in the SLCP Quality Assurance Manual (QA) version v2.3, which was updated in April 2023.

Why suspend the addendum process?

The current Addendum process is used to correct any incorrect factory self-/ joint assessment responses and assessor/certificator options that were not corrected prior to validation finalization (prior to VRF status). Over the past few months, SLCP has seen an increase in demand for appendices. Appendices are designed for special purposes. This is a burden on the SLCP, the certificator/validation company, and the factory that wants to provide the correction report to the buyer urgently. SLCP expects factories to strictly follow this procedure.

What does the factory need to do?

It is now important for the factory to check the self-/ joint assessment and carefully review the final validation report during the 14-day review period, ensuring that the data in the final report is accepted before clicking "Final OK".

When the factory reviews the report during the 14-day review period and finds an error, contact ASCP Services to change the report status from Validation Completed (VRC) to Validation Editing (VRE). If the factory does not have enough time to make a correction and the 14-day period is coming to an end, the factory can file a dispute to continue the process. In the dispute box for an approved hosting platform, write: "We need more time to edit; We need to extend the review period."

Attention:

The factory cannot change or add information to a certified evaluation report. After the report is complete, no changes can be made.

If your plant conditions have changed significantly since the last SLCP assessment, start a new assessment to come up with a validated set of data that accurately reflects your plant conditions. No need to wait a whole year.
