ISCC development process

Since the ISCC standard was promulgated in 2010, it has become the first certification standard to comply with the European Union's Renewable Energy Directive (RED II), and is also the mainstream certification standard in major markets such as Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea.

At the same time, the ISCC certification is based on the six ISCC Principles (page 17), which are aligned with many of the Sustainable Development Goals. These six principles must be complied with when performing ISCC authentication. In addition, ISCC is a participant of the United Nations Global Compact and in 2022 reaffirmed its support for the principles of the United Nations Global Compact on Human Rights, Labour, Environment and anti-corruption.
