IATF16949:2016 standard was released on October 1, 2016, which is an important mark in the development of the automotive industry management system standard, the standard is generally modified every 6 to 8 years.

2. Which enterprises are IATF16949 applicable to?

IATF16949 certificate is suitable for automobile related industry enterprises, mainly including: car, truck, bus, motorcycle and parts, accessories manufacturers. 4. IATF16949 certification basic requirements

1. Requirements for the auditee

This standard applies only to automobile Oems and their direct spare parts manufacturers. These manufacturers must be directly related to the production of automobiles, have the ability to process and manufacture, and through the realization of this ability to add value to the product.

Companies required to be registered for certification must have at least 12 months of production and quality management records, including a complete record of internal and management reviews.

A review may also be conducted for a newly established processing site if there is no 12 month record. The certification company can issue a letter that meets the requirements of the quality system specifications after evaluation. When 12 months of records have been obtained, the certification audit registration is conducted.

If the certified organization cannot continue to maintain the normal operation of the quality system and the consistency of product quality, it will be at risk of having its certificate revoked.

2. Requirements for the auditor

The certification company (auditor) must be audited, approved and authorized by the International Motor Agency in advance. The audit activities of the certification company will always be under the strict supervision of the International Automobile Agency. The International Automobile Agency has the right to witness the audit activities of the certification company and to implement a point system for the certification company. Primary certification

3. Annual supervision and inspection

1, the audit company according to the enterprise certification certificate issuance time, formulate the annual inspection plan, in advance to the enterprise annual inspection notice. 6. Certification time

7. Basic Conditions for accepting an application

1. The applicant shall be an organization with its own functions and clear legal status, and shall have supporting documents to prove its clear legal status;

Note: Industrial, agricultural, non-road traffic (such as mining, forestry, construction, etc.) car manufacturing site is not suitable for IATF16949 certification application.

IATF16949 certification requires an enterprise to have at least 12 months of quality management system operation history, monitoring information about whether the organization meets customer requirements, continuous evaluation of the performance of the implementation process and the performance of the manufacturing process to confirm product quality and process efficiency. IATF16949 requires the establishment of quality management system operation time, the certification body requirements have 3 months or 6 months of two, but most of the requirements of 6 months.
