Inditex Group (INdustrias de DIseno TEXtil, S.A., INDITEX), It is one of the world's four largest fashion retail groups from Spain (the others are GAP, an American casual-fashion giant, H&M, a Swedish fashion giant, and C&A, a Dutch budget-clothing chain). What is Inditex certification?

Inditex Certification is commonly known as Inditex Factory Audit. Inditex Group requires that it must pass factory audit related to social responsibility and environmental aspects in order to become a supplier of all its brands, whether direct or indirect. Factory inspection is divided into pre-audit and formal audit. After the pre-audit is passed, the formal audit can be carried out. After the formal audit is passed, the supplier will be rated. Inditex factory inspection is conducted by the third party audit institutions designated by Inditex Group, such as SGS, ITS, UL, etc., to audit the suppliers. It adopts the semi-notification audit method and does not inform the factory of the specific time of factory inspection.

How to apply for ZARA factory inspection?

INDITEX's zara brand factory inspection cannot be applied by the factory itself, so it needs to contact the trader or directly communicate with ZARA. After the customer records the factory into the supplier system for authorization, INDITEX will notify the production factory via email, and the factory will submit the application and accept ZARA's production standards. INDITEX will then entrust a third party to the factory for a surprise audit

Inditex factory inspection results will have four grades: Grade A, Grade B, grade C and grade D.

Grade A. It will be reviewed within 24 months. If you get an A on the first audit, the client will be suspicious of all kinds of information and will immediately review again for cheating.

Grade B, which will be reviewed in 18 months.

Grade C and will be reviewed within 12 months.

Grade D, unqualified factory, will be given the opportunity to improve. It will be reviewed again in six months.

If not qualified, the factory will not be used. However, in the case of improvements, it is still a Grade D factory. The client will give another drink a chance to improve. If you don't pass, you'll be blacklisted.

Note: The higher the score, the higher the chance of failure. Because there is a disqualification, it gets extra points.

Inditex social responsibility factory inspection requirements

1. Child labor: The factory shall not employ child labor, and the underage employees shall not engage in strong manual labor or other positions that may cause physical injury to them, and shall not work night shift.

2, the requirements of compliance with laws and regulations: the supplier factory should comply with the minimum of the country's labor law and environmental protection laws and regulations.

3. Forced labor: The Client strictly prohibits the Factory from employing forced labor, including forcing workers to work overtime, using servitude, prison labor and seizing workers' belongings as threats.

4. About working hours: Weekly working hours shall not exceed 60 hours, and at least one day off every week.

5. About wages and benefits:

a Whether the employee is paid below the local minimum wage

b Whether employees get overtime pay for overtime work

c Whether overtime pay meets legal requirements (1.5 times for normal overtime, 2 times for weekend overtime, 3 times for statutory holidays overtime)

d Whether wages are paid on time

e Whether the factory buys insurance for its employees

6. Health and Safety:

Whether there are serious health and safety problems in the factory, including whether the fire protection facilities are complete, whether the ventilation and lighting in the production area are good, whether the factory is a 3-in-1 workshop or a 2-in-1 workshop, whether the occupancy of the staff dormitory meets the requirements, and whether the hygiene, fire protection and safety of the staff dormitory meet the requirements.

Inditex Environmental Factory inspection requirements

ZARA, a subsidiary of Inditex Group, has required wet-work (dyeing, washing, tanning, etc.) to undergo GTW environmental assessment certification in addition to the social responsibility audit previously required.

GTW Plant Audit Grade B (not C or D) is required to add at least one of the following practices per year:

Process control

1. Traceability record of raw materials (avant, yarn, cloth and garment)

2. Each upright washing machine is equipped with a liquid level gauge and temperature controller, and horizontal washing machine is not used.

3. Accurately record and properly manage the list of chemicals to meet the requirements of MRSL.

4, each dyeing or finishing equipment is equipped with automatic control.

5, the annual average water consumption is less than 140L/ kg fabric.

Water saving

6, do not use continuous flow flushing and use some type of flushing.

Waste water

7. External monitoring (by a third party or government department) of the wastewater of the internal sewage treatment station shall monitor at least 4 items: COD, BOD, pH and TSS. If the annual discharge of wastewater exceeds 700,000 cubic metres per year, the frequency of monitoring is monthly. If emissions fall below this level, they are monitored quarterly.

8. MRSL substances in wastewater shall not be detected before treatment (not considering heavy metals and any detected value caused by influent).

Solid waste

9. The factory shall have a list of hazardous wastes and hand over all the hazardous wastes to qualified institutions. Proper management of hazardous wastes in the plant (sorting, labeling, isolation, ventilation, and leakage prevention)

Energy consumption

10. Monitor combustion waste gas according to local regulations.

11. Frequent monitoring and monitoring of steam and water leaks.

12. All tanks and steam lines are insulated.
