Disney

Disney Disney factory inspection refers to the compliance inspection of its suppliers by a third-party organization designated by Disney, which is a comprehensive management system mainly based on social responsibility. It examines whether the employment, wages, compensation and benefits meet local laws and regulations, whether employees' human rights are respected, and whether the working environment conforms to occupational health and safety. Merchandise sold at Disney properties must pass the Disney Inspection standards established by Disney itself. Disney's factory audit not only requires on-site approval, but also requires FAMA to get permission from Disney to use its Logo. Disney FAMA, English full name: FACILITY AND MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION, Chinese called "equipment and business certification". If a factory applies for Dini FAMA, it must be "Disney Licensee". The licensor has the authorization to sell Disney products in a certain region. The licensor needs to submit the FAMA application form and factory inspection report of the factory to Disney, and then Disney will sign FAMA after the approval. After the factory gets FAMA, it can carry out production, customs record and shipment. At present, Disney's approved audit agencies mainly include: BV, ELEVATE, INSITE, ITS, QIMA, UL, etc.

Disney's new ILS standards will be implemented on March 1, 2023

The new Disney Supplier Code of Conduct (ILS), which will go into effect on March 1, 2023, is stricter than previous versions, and suppliers could miss out on Disney FAMA and a lot of orders. The new rules are divided into 90 standards in eight categories, including seven red minimum compliance standards (MCS), 48 yellow serious violation standards and 35 orange general violation standards. The new rules make it clear that if three or more serious violations are found in an audit, each will be rated as an MCS violation. This means that a maximum of two serious violations can occur during a supplier's on-site audit, which can be fatal for many suppliers. How many vendors will be able to keep the Disney FAMA after this round of scrutiny? Not much, I'm afraid. If we want to keep FAMA, we need to correct the violations from now on so that we can comply with them and stand up to the Disney audit.
